We know that just like oil changes and tire rotations— printers need regular cleaning and maintenance to optimize performance and longevity. In fact, most printers should be cleaned and maintained annually to ensure high quality print and to help your printer last longer. There’s no reason to throw out a printer and buy a new one every other year – it fills up our landfills and drains your budget. For just $25, we’ll perform general maintenance and clean your printer every year and probably double the life-span of your printer!
Even with general maintenance and cleaning – parts wear out (especially these days!). Rule of thumb – if you’ve had your printer for 3-4 years and it was less than $300, economically – you’re better off purchasing a new one. And we’ll tell you that upfront. However, if you want to be environmentally responsible – we’ll educate you on the repairs or help you purchase a refurbished printer that meets your needs! We’re here with expert advice to guide you thru the process:
- We’ll determine if you have a printer issue or if it’s something else. Such as drivers, fusers, dirty printers/print heads or even an empty/faulty cartridge. (IFa Cartridge World cartridge is responsible for any type of mishap with your printer, we’ll get your printer back in top condition and replace your cartridge FREE – that’s how confident we are in our services!)
- Assist you in deciding if repair is financially feasible or if it’s time for a new printer.
- Our trained technicians will complete your repairs or help you determine the right replacement printer to meet your needs.
We do everything possible to provide same day service—including a loaner printer to get you by in emergency situations. For most businesses, a pay-as-you-go model minimizes your expenses while providing an excellent level of customer service and support. We feel it’s fair to partner with you and determine jointly what’s in your best interest vs. inflating our profitability with wasteful contracts or “free printer gimmicks”. Remember when you replaced your appliances because they looked bad? (I still have my parents “old” refrigerator in my garage!) We’ve been sold on the idea that newer is better. QUALITY—SAVINGS—RECYCLING – some great reasons to repair and hang on to your “older printers” Since we opened our first store just 3 years ago - cartridge yields (pages per cartridges) have dropped from 833 pages for an HP 45 down to 266 pages for the HP 95! And your price/page (OEM) has gone from 3.6 cents per page to 8.2 cents per page! Doesn’t add up does it? (yields/pricing history) Keep in mind that each cartridge produced uses oil, plastics and of course the manufacturing process. Not Environmentally Friendly! The good news? Yes, there’s some!
